Diabetes
So, I go to the doctor for my annual checkups and she decides to do some blood work to check for certain levels of something due to some medication I have been taking. Well the next thing I know I am getting a diabetic glucose meter and pricking my finger 2x a day! In my family it is more of a “when” than an “if” when it comes to diabetes but still! All of the people in all of the brochures that I have seen are “old.” (When I say old I mean between 15-30 yrs older than I am).
We were hoping to have children of our own and although she says it is still possible it would not seem that things are going to go like I was hoping and thinking that they would.
I know God is WAAAAAY bigger than all of this and that if I am or am not meant to have it no amount of fretting will change it either way. I wasn't entirely shocked to hear the news I was just hoping my suspicions about it would have been wrong.

Diabetes is rampant in my family as well. I had gestational diabetes during pregnancies. My baby sister had two pregnancies and she is a Type I - insulin dependant diabetic (diagnosed at age 8). She had one set of twins (age 7) and one son (age 3). So, just wanted to encourage you that even though you are diabetic, you can have healthy pregnancies and babies:-)
